Leaders observe empathy

Empathy is crucial instrument in a pacesetter’s toolbox.

The every day observe of placing the well-being of others first has a compounding and reciprocal impact in relationships, in friendships, in the way in which we deal with our shoppers and our colleagues. #learntolead

  1. Disagree strongly. Empathy is not a leadership trait. In this example, three periods of poor performance shows leadership fails on both people. Empathy only makes the situation feel better for one person, it does not solve the problem.

  2. my colleague has just been laid off two weeks ago because of the performance issue. Everything Simon says are sincere and great, but those companies just don't give a shit, all they care is about money and how much that can squeeze from their employees. Fuck this world, maybe the Doomsday should come and wipe out all the fucking lives on this planet.

  3. Hi Simon! I would say GENUINE concerned. Why? Just because, maybe too often I heard pplz saying “R U okay” – but without them to be really interested. They just knew that they had to tick this. Empty words… artificial

  4. Hey Simon! I am a student of engineering and i m in final year. I knew the consequences of not working hard….but its now often ,sometimes i do get distract , i kill my time every now n then. What should i do to stay focused?…. Plz some advice!

  5. I remember when I worked for a company and suddenly I got really really ill. I was in pain for weeks, couldn't eat properly, could barely breath or move, I was close to ending my own life. My boss got me into a meeting (call) with HR to tell me they were looking into "letting me go" because I was off sick on a doctor's note for a few weeks. And this after I worked day and night for that company for years. Sadly this is the reality for lots of people… Honestly, I am glad I am not with that life sucker of a company anymore.
