10 Powerful Brain Hacks: Increase Your EQ (Emotional Quotient) With Mindfulness (Empath Training)

A lot of people ask me how to increase EQ or emotional quotient. So, in today’s video, that’s what we’re talking about.

How to Use Mindfulness to Increase Emotional Intelligence
While you may have been involved with a narcissist, chances are that as an empath, you’ve got a pretty high EQ. But have you ever wanted to figure out how you could increase your EQ or emotional quotient?
The term ‘Emotional intelligence’ refers to your ability to understand the motivations of others, to understand your own emotions and motivations and to communicate these things effectively. While a lot of emphasis is placed on the importance of ‘IQ’, it is actually EQ that is in many ways more useful in day-to-day life as it is what enables you to communicate and get on well with others, as well as to influence those around you and work well as part of a team. It is critical for a successful career and also integral to any successful relationship – romantic or otherwise.
But how do you increase EQ? There are a few methods but here we are going to examine one of the most straightforward in today’s video: mindfulness.
I’ll explain what mindfulness is and offer a thorough definition, plus teach you how this can help you to increase your EQ. I’ll also offer 10 ways to help you take your understanding and your life to the next level.

  1. Im trying to teach my son these very things. Change your perspective and the world will be an easier place to be in. Mindfulness was what caused me to see my narc husband for what he truly is. Your coaching has helped us, my kids and I, not supply him any more.

  2. Just finished watching this video 🙂 Umm honestly, I will need to watch this a few more times and pay closer attention, to get a better understand of everything, because I have adhd + I'm sorry Angie, I was distracted by your hand movements lol XD

  3. Mindfulness is being the "observer". Being in the moment, noticing what kinds of thoughts one has, is very helpful in reducing the negativity in one's self-talk.

  4. Hi Angie. What I meant with my question "what is the end for him ?" Is as he ages what will his life be like. Is he gonna continue his narc behavior until he leaves the face of the earth ? Or is he gonna suffer in some ways?

  5. Absolutely great video. I'm interested to hear or experience more on how mindfulness, applied to CBT can play an important role in my recovery. I googled it and although I don't fully understand it yet, it seems promising. 2-3 days ago you posted a video with a guided meditation and I found myself at first in an objective state. I had to tell myself that you're grounded in reality and here to help. Hearing a familiar voice helped. I can't convince myself to listen to the mass mail-order CDs that are out there. Your meditation session helped me to quiet my anxiety enough to realize that I was placing so much energy into things that I can't change and to realize that I need to refocus that energy. I can't remember everything and I will probably try to watch it again at some point in the near future. I want to offer a warm heartfelt thanks to you because my brain seems to be constantly looking for something to worry about and at some point I was able to relax and hear what you were telling me and take a look deeper inside myself as opposed to my mind looking for reasons to reject the presentation of your video. I think that the images helped too.

  6. Oracle cards are wonderful! I pick one in the morning from the Botanical inspirations deck and it's always what I need for the day. There are so many awesome decks out there.
